Fun title for this little blog this morning don’t ya think? Isn’t it true though, we get to the middle of the week and if you’re like me, it’s easy for fatigue to set in. I’m dragging a bit this morning and there are still several days left in this work week. I have to tell myself to refocus and take advantage of the new day ahead. Sometimes that works and sometimes, well, ho-hum. So maybe just a little prayer this morning for us all to face the day and to find the opportunities to be the best we can be.
Heavenly Father, as we begin this Wednesday morning, we thank You for the gift of a new day. Please give us strength to face the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Renew our spirit and fill us with Your peace. Help us to be a source of encouragement to others, showing Your love through our actions and words. Grant us the resilience to persevere in all that may come today Father. Guide us, protect us, and help us to be children in whom you are well pleased. In Your Son our Lord Jesus Christ’s Holy Name, we pray. Amen
Friends, let’s face the ho-hums together, overcoming that fatigue and brightening the day of those around us. Hey, maybe it’s a great day to do something to pay it forward. Stop on your way to work and pick up some donuts for the team, buy a cup of coffee for the car behind you in the drive-thru, or give a little extra tip to the server at the restaurant. Father has given us this beautiful day, let’s not waste it with ho-humming, (can you tell I’m already feeling better).
Have a great day friends 🙂
Psalm 118:24
This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
