It’s a rainy morning here in SW Florida, don’t get me wrong I’m not upset about it, we so need the rain. It’s supposed to do this for a good part of the morning and that makes me super happy.
As I sat on the lanai this morning talking with Father and watching the rain fall I felt such calm. I asked Him to open my heart to others, to help me to see how I can support others, help others, and be there for whoever needs a hand. This life is so short, and the older I get, the more I realize how many things just aren’t important. The car we drive, the job we have, the home we live in, the latest new phone, those are not what will impress Father when our time comes. What matters to Him is who did we help, who did we forgive, how did we share His message and spread His love.
So friends, today, whether you are watching the rain fall as I am, or whether you a experiencing a beautiful sunny morning, I hope you’ll take a moment to look for opportunities to help your neighbor, friend or family member. At the end of the day, that is what matters the most.
