Over the past few weeks, I’ve met several new people. I’ve noticed that through even the initial discussions, we have something in common. We lived near each other, (relatively speaking), we have the same friends, or we share the same hobbies. It’s been interesting to see how often this happens actually, and I choose to think that this is Father in action showing His children just how close we really are.
In a world where there is such chaos right now, where the news would have us think we are so divided, I see just the opposite. We are all God’s children and we have more in common than we don’t, in my opinion anyway. We can find simple things like talking about our kids, sharing a recipe, enjoying the same hobbies, there will be something we have in common. As I said, I’ve seen it over the past few weeks.
I think Father is showing us each other for a reason. He’s showing us that together we can overcome. He’s showing us that being divided makes us weaker not stronger. He’s showing us in simple ways just how alike we are. And…He is showing us how easy it is to share His love with one another.
We all have challenges in our lives, and I think in many cases we’ll find that our challenges are similar. The closer we, God’s children, get to each other, the easier it is to help each other through the challenges. Satan knows that keeping God’s children from each other makes him stronger. He knows that if God’s children are united, then satan falls. He fears God’s children being united.
So friends, when the opportunity presents itself, let’s take a moment to find something in common with someone. Take a moment to get to know your neighbor, the clerk at the store, the customer, or the client who comes into your place of business. You will probably find that you have more in common with them than you don’t.
Have a great day my friends 🙂 .
p.s. Thanks to my stepmom for the beautiful sunrise from New Smyrna Beach.
