Look I Can Do These Cool Things

Yesterday in this little blog I mentioned the rains here in SW FL this time of year. I mentioned how beautiful the skies can be and how I couldn’t understand how anyone couldn’t believe in God when they see these sights.

Well, last night I think Father was saying, “Well you think that was something, nah, look I can do these cool things”. Last night, again almost right on cue, our late afternoon, and early evening rains came through. My husband and I were chatting in the kitchen and joking about how it was raining while the sun was shining. As I turned and looked at the window, I was amazed, it was truly pouring rain, but the sky was blue and there was an amazing glow from the sun. The cover of this morning’s little blog doesn’t do the picture justice. I’ve included a smaller version of it below.

Yes, friends, Father was in action again last night, showing that he is totally in control, making it rain while the skies are seemingly blue. Or you could say, literally showing us the way through the storm to the blue sky. Oh, and right in the middle of this whole event, my neighbor texted me a view from the other side of the building, it was the most vivid, vibrant rainbow I’ve seen in a long time. I’ve included it below as well. God’s promise and hope given to us in this beautiful sign.

So yes, I think Father can do some pretty cool things. I truly feel He is trying to get our attention. He’s asking us to stop fretting, stop being fearful, and stop trying to control situations, He’s asking us to “Look at the things I can do”. Then I can almost hear Him say, “You ain’t seen nothing yet”. Ok, maybe that last thought is a little over the top 🙂 . The point is friends, God is the only one in control. He asks us to trust in Him because He will see us through this life. We just have to put all our faith in Him, He truly isn’t asking much.

Have a great day my friends!
