Do You Hear It?

So, you all know that I spend a little time each morning and evening on my lanai, (Florida’s term for patio), talking with Father. I love beginning and ending my day this way, the time is special to me of course. More importantly, these are the times when I hear Father when I feel Him sharing with me what He wants.

Sometimes I feel that people think I’m a little goofy because I say I can feel His presence, I can hear Him speaking to me. I’m not sure why we, God’s children, would think we can’t hear Him. Father didn’t create us only to be this omnipresent being that just floats somewhere in the universe. No, I believe that He created us to be with us us every moment, if we want Him to be that is.

Father doesn’t force us to have a relationship with Him. He doesn’t threaten or hold things over our head so that we feel we must worship Him. Father gives us the freedom to choose a relationship with Him. That’s the beauty of our relationship with God. If we truly want that relationship, and if we commit ourselves to Him, then it is a bond that cannot be broken because it’s not a bond that is forced.

When we let ourselves be fully immersed in the relationship with Father, when we allow ourselves to truly believe in the love He has for us, when we allow ourselves to be open to all He wants for us, then we are able to be still and listen for His guidance. Yes my friends, we can indeed hear Father speak to us, we just have to be willing to listen. There are times when I imagine He’s sitting next to me saying, “Hellloooo, I’m right here, stop and listen”.

So, I just encourage you to take some personal time, quiet time, and allow yourself to be open to hearing Father in your midst. Be vulnerable and open your heart to Him. You’ll be amazed at just how clearly you can hear and feel Him speaking to you.

Have a great day my friends, and thanks as always for being here to listen to my ramblings 🙂 .

Psalm 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.
