A Psalm of Strength

Over the past many days you all have been joining me in lifting prayers for Emily Rea. She is the niece of a friend of mine who has been missing for almost a week. The community of prayer that has formed all over the country is amazing. The gofundme page set up to help feed and provide water to the hundreds of volunteers who have come out to search, has raised over $10,000, simply amazing. I wanted to say Thank You for your continued prayers, and ask that you keep leaning into them please.

Yesterday at church, our appointed Psalm was Psalm 23, it was timely, and perhaps not by accident that we said it yesterday. I believe Father knows the need for strength in so many right now all over this country. These words provide comfort and the message from Father that we are never alone, regardless of what challenges we face. So, this morning, I share it with you with a reminder that God is Always with us, He will never forsake us.

Psalm 23 – A Psalm of David
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his
name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of
death, I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they
comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of
mine enemies:
Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the
days of my life:
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Continued prayers friends, for all who need it, especially for the safe return of Emily.

Thanks as well to Candice Corbin for the cover photo of today’s little blog. Sunset from Marco Island a few days ago.
