Wow, another week has flown by, I really am not sure where the time is going these days. We’re all so busy and before we know it we’re looking at the weekend again, which of course isn’t a bad thing 🙂 .
These last few days I’ve been sharing my thoughts in this little blog about people uniting as a nation. I see so much good in this world, I see people helping people. There is the other side though, I still see the ugliness in the nation and in the world. The ugliness that comes out when someone disagrees with another, although I truly do not understand. Why is it so difficult to have a different opinion? When Jesus walked this earth He did not agree with people, He spent His time showing them why He believed what He did. He spent His time showing them the better way, and you know what, He converted people to follow Him. Hmmmm…
Several friends texted me about the opening of the olympics last night. I didn’t watch it, but there were many on social media as well upset about what they felt was a mocking of God within the ceremony. As I said I did not watch so I can’t confirm, however, I will ask this, why in the world would this even be part of an opening ceremony for a sporting event? Why would it not simply be a celebration of a coming together of many nations to compete on the sports field instead of the battlefield?
Our nation, our world needs Father in the midst of all that we do. This morning, I wanted to share a prayer for our country. Prayer heals so much and perhaps that should be the focus these days 🙂 .
Almighty God, who hast given us this good land for our heritage: We humbly beseech thee that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of thy favor and glad to do thy will. Bless our land with honorable industry, sound learning, and pure manners. Save us from violence, discord and confusion; from pride and arrogance, and from every evil way. Defend our liberties, and fashion into one united people the multitudes brought hither out of many kindreds and tongues. Endue with the spirit of wisdom those to whom in thy Name we entrust the authority of government, that there may be justice and peace at home, and that, through obedience to thy law, we may show forth thy praise among the nations of the earth. In the time of prosperity, fill our hearts with thankfulness, and in the day of trouble, suffer not our trust in thee to fail; all which we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Have a good day friends, and continued prayers lifted for Emily Rea that Father brings her home safely ❤ .

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
