Know That I Am With You

Start of a new week. If you’re like me, you have a busy one ahead. I’m sure you know the feeling, as Sunday was winding down yesterday, the mind shifts to the week ahead. The to-do list is mounting and the next thing you know, you’re waking up to Monday.

I sat with Father this morning and was asking for guidance for the week. I was mentally going through that to-do list I mentioned and realized right then that, as always, He was with me. I felt my shoulders relax, felt that little “tingle” that I get when I feel Father with me, and I just felt calm. It was quiet as I looked out over our little neighborhood, and it was peaceful. A good way to start the day.

As I type this little blog this morning, knowing that Father is with me today as I go about my to-do’s, I think about others who are going through so many more challenges than I am. I just want them to know that Father is with them as well. “Know that I am with you”, was the message I heard clearly this morning, and one that I want to keep sharing.

It’s so easy to get wrapped up in what’s happening around us that we simply don’t see what’s right in front of us, Father. I guess it’s that can’t see the forest through the trees scenario. I think taking the time to truly sit alone each day and let yourself talk with Him helps. It’s a time to center your thoughts and open your heart to Him, to let Him fill you with the strength only He can give. It’s a time to be vulnerable and to give Him the worries, fears, and doubts you have. Let Him lift those from your shoulders. And…it’s a time to give thanks for the love that He showers upon you.

So friends, as we start this week, I encourage you to take a moment and just be with Father. Let Him in as you start the week, hear those words, “Know that I am with you”. He is with us friends, He is always with us.

Special prayers this morning for the new rescue team headed to MT in the search for Emily Rea. May Father guide them as they search, and may He lead them to where she is. In Jesus’ name, we pray for her to be found and brought home to her family.
