We all have decisions we have to make throughout our day. What to wear to work or school, what to have for breakfast, Starbucks or Dunkin, (Dunkin for me), Coke or Pepsi, (neither for me), you get the idea. Seriously though, we all have more important decisions than these simple things, and for me, I do my best to bring Father in as I make those decisions.
There are times though when I’m talking with Father and I’m asking for guidance on particular decisions, or direction, well I feel like I’m asking for something so minor. I know there are people in this world who are going through so much more than me. The challenges that I’m dealing with seem so minor, should I really waste Father’s time by asking? There are people who need His love, healing, and strength so much more than me and my little question.
I actually think this is what satan hopes for, he wants us to not have a relationship with God. You see if we step away from Father for what we feel are little questions, little challenges, because we don’t want to burden Him, well then it becomes a little easier next time to do the same. The next challenge comes along and we begin to feel that, “Nah, it’s fine I don’t need to burden God with this”. And the next time, and the next, before you know it, we’ve moved away from praying with Father and our relationship with Him.
Friends, we should have Father in the middle of every decision we make. He should be front and center, regardless of how small we may feel the decision is. I actually found myself this morning saying to Him, “Father, I know this is such a minor decision that I need help with, there are so many other people who need your help”. That my friends is just a little poke from satan trying to break that bond I have with Father. Nice try scummy dude, back into your hole now.
So, as you begin your day and as you move through your day, keep Father front and center. There is no challenge or question too small or unimportant for Him, just as there is no challenge too big. God is here for us through everything that we face in this life. He walks right beside us and is there to guide us if we but let Him.
Have a good day my friends, thanks as always for being here as I ramble each morning. I am so truly blessed by you 🙂 .
Continued prayers lifted for Emily Rea. Father, may you continue to guide the authorities and the volunteers, give them strength to continue this search, comfort the family and keep them strong, and Father, please bring this sweet girl home to her family. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
p.s. Special thanks to my friend Joey Waves for the sunset photo from last week, the cover of today’s little blog 🙂
