Hand It Over

Sometimes it’s all we can do. We must hand it over to Father and let him do the rest. There are so many things in this life that are out of our control, and being the humans that we are, it isn’t easy to accept many times, that things are out of our control I mean.

There comes a point though where we have to let go, we have to ask Father to lift the burden, take the anxiety, and quell the thoughts we’re having. We have to truly hand it over to Him and…wait for it…we have to have faith and trust in Him. However, I do think there is more to it than that. Once we’ve been vulnerable enough to give Father the burden, then we have to continue to pray for guidance through whatever we are facing. I guess what I’m saying is, don’t just toss it to God and walk away. Hand it over to God and let Him show us the way through, there is a difference.

If you’re like me, kind of type A personality, you want to just fix things. You want things off your plate. You want problems solved and move on to the next thing. As you probably guessed, life doesn’t work that way, and it tends to drive me a little crazy sometimes. I want to say to God at times, “Seriously Lord, I have to deal with this now too?”.

Friends, I don’t know why have to deal with some of the things we do. I’ve found myself lately asking Father what I’m to be learning from certain situations. I have to admit, I’m not hearing an answer, and like many of you, I have days when my faith isn’t as strong as it should be. Those are the times when I’ve let satan have more control than God, ya that doesn’t work so well.

Coming here to share a message each day with you, well that helps to reground myself. It helps me to grow deeper with Father and provides a reminder that I’m not in this alone. Yes friends, we have to trust that God is in control, we have to have faith in His plan, and we have to hand our burdens over to Him.

God is truly with us, and He will never forsake us. Sometimes I think we just need to remind ourselves of this. Have a good day friends, and whatever you might be carrying that’s heavy, hand it over to Father.

Father, today I ask that you continue to be with Emily Rea’s family. Continue to give them strength to face each day, and continue to guide the authorities and the volunteers. Father, bring Emily home to her family. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.

Matthew 21:22
And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.
