It’s Saturday, and you all know these are my lazy mornings, if there are such things anymore. Yes, I’m posting this little blog a little later than usual, but that’s okay, I guess.

This morning I’ve just been pondering things. I spent time with Father in the quiet of the morning, and just keep thinking about things. A friend is on a trip to Africa right now and sharing amazing pictures of the wildlife there. This morning she sent me a gorgeous sunrise from Kenya, it’s the cover of the blog here.

Yesterday I spent the morning with a few friends making jams for our Christmas Market. This morning I was thinking about just the simplicity of being with them. We chat and share stories, I learn more and more about them, and I even learn a little something about the canning process each time we are together.

Friends, this life is full of busyness. It’s full of challenges. But you know what, it’s full of simple beauty if we just take the time to see it. I don’t just mean the physical beauty of the land, I mean the beauty of God’s children. Today, take time to notice it and give thanks.

Father, I commit today, to notice the beauty around me and give thanks to you for the gifts that I see 🙂 .
