Over the past few weeks, I’ve had conversations with friends. We’ve found ourselves chatting about things that are happening in our lives. I am not typically one to ask Father “why” He has placed me where He has, and lately, I’m tending to be more focused on asking, “What do you want me to learn from this?”.
Through the conversations I’ve had with others, I’ve learned that we’re all seeing something similar. Father has His hand in much these days, He is on the move. In a discussion with a friend yesterday afternoon I learned that He is digging deep into his Bible, reading the Old Testament. Hmmm, interesting…my husband and I are reading the same.
I’ve shared before that a friend sends a text to me each morning with a scripture passage and a reflection on the reading. Many times recently his reflection has mirrored my thoughts here in this little blog. Yes, Father’s hand is at work and it’s getting easier to see Him in action.
I think we are in a time of choice friends. Well, we’ve always been, that’s what freedom is. I do believe though that Father, now more than ever, is asking us to choose a life with Him or a life on our own. Well, for me, it’s an easy choice. Though He never promised this life would be easy, He has promised that He will be here to help us through it. All He asks is that we bring others to Him so that they too can be guided through with his grace.
So friends, take a look around and see Father’s hand at work. Take a moment to ask “What am I to learn from this?”, and then, choose life fully with Him at the helm. It’s a pretty great place to be for sure 🙂 .
Have a great day everyone. Continue prayers lifted for Emily Rea and her family. Father, please show us your hand at work in the search for this your child Emily. You know where she is, please show her to rescuers. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
p.s. Thanks to my brother Michael for the cover of today’s little blog. Sunset from the midwest prairie.
Galatians 6:9-10
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
