The Labor Day weekend is almost coming to a close, I know where did it go already. This holiday weekend tends to mark the unofficial end of summer 😦 . Kids are back at school, and the feel of fall is in the air, for some of you up north, it’s already cooler, and before we know it the leaves will change colors. Just yesterday I saw pumpkins and pumpkin latte advertised in the grocery store, ya, not ready for that yet!
I hope you have had the opportunity to relax a little this weekend and that today is filled with standard holiday fare, picnic, BBQ, time near the water, and most importantly, time with family and friends. I’ll leave you with this simple prayer for all those who make this country hum. Have a great day everyone!
Almighty God, whose Son Jesus Christ in his earthly life shared our toil and hallowed our labor: Be present with your people where they work; make those who carry on the industries and commerce of this land responsive to your will; and give to us all a pride in what we do, and a just return for our labor; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
I also ask for continued prayers for Emily Rea. Jesus, please be with this child wherever she may be. Protect her and guide her home to her family. Give her family strength each day as they continue the search. In Your name we pray. Amen.
