I’m not sure about you but yesterday was difficult. The images on social media coming out of Eastern TN and North Carolina were like nothing I’ve seen before. It’s difficult to understand the depth of the destruction that Helene has caused in these areas. I saw a report yesterday that over 30″ of rain fell in parts of these areas, and at the end of the day, it had to go somewhere 😦 . Then too, are the images of the Big Bend area of FL where entire little towns were erased.
I told my husband and some friends yesterday that I’ve never been one to ask why of Father, I trust in His plan not mine. However, I have to admit yesterday, and even a bit this morning, I’m lost on this one. I know I need to dig down deep and even more importantly dig deep into my Bible to seek answers from Him. And…I’m not directly affected by what’s happening in TN, NC and northern FL.
I tried to find words this morning for this little blog, and they just aren’t coming. I turned to my playlist and interestingly, this song was at the top. Maybe it’s Father giving me a small sign. He is here, He is everywhere, and He always will be.
I hope this song might help some who are reading this little blog this morning. Friends, continue to lift prayers for the people in TN, NC, and FL that Father will calm the waters, heal the broken and give strength to the weary.
Isaiah 41:13
For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you”.
