I truly think that is what we have to do. In all things look for the good. Yesterday in this little blog I shared some God moments happening with a woman who is heading up a volunteer effort in NC. In all things we have to look for the good, and for God.
Last night I read and update on Emily Rea, from her mom. I wanted to share it here because even in the heartbreak of Emily still not being found, her mom is seeing the good all around. Here is her update:
Hi everyone,
An update from Mama Rea.
“Yes, we’re counting; it’s been 10.5 weeks since Emily went missing. Not one nanosecond of which has she left my mind – me thinks the same for many of you. As heart rending as it is for me to write, we have no search updates to share. I feel caught in an information void. We’re still waiting to hear that the parts needed for boat repair have come in so they can get back on the water before winter really sets in. The rest is status quo.
We do, however, have wonderful news to report re: Hugo, Emily’s sweet rescue pup. We have found Hugo a wonderful long-term foster home.
Once again, through the combined efforts of the vast Emily community, the call for help was answered quickly and in grand style. This week, Hugo was compassionately and exuberantly introduced to his new home for the next 2 weeks. In a successful joint meet and greet with trainer & new foster mom, he gave lots of tail wags, whole body wiggles and doggy kisses as he made the rounds.
JPK-9 will provide intensive assistance in teaching him what behavior is expected and accepted when greeting both canines and humans for the 1st time. Up until yesterday he was given loving and attentive homes by several friends who worked diligently to maintain his Emily/Montana lifestyle as well as counsel provided by All Day Dog Adventures.
His new home is yet another one which is welcoming him into their lives with open arms and for whatever duration is necessary. Gratitude abounds!”
As always, I’ll offer the round-up of ways you can help below.
1. Keep the prayers coming! #EyesForEmily
2. Comment, like, and share this (or any) post
3. Support the search financially on GoFundMe (www.gofundme.com/f/support-the-search-for-emily-rea), Venmo (@Find-Emily-Rea), or at any Stockman Bank location.
Every lead, tip, or piece of information could be helpful. If you know something, please say something by calling 406-758-5610 or emailing Tips@FlatHead.MT.Gov.
So friends, through all of the challenges we face, look for the good. Father is soooo in our midst right now. He is so prominent, I see it, I feel it, and I believe that many people who haven’t been, are feeling it too. Keep looking for good, and more importantly, keep spreading it 🙂 .
Continued prayers for Emily Rea and her family and for all those affected by Hurricane Helene. Florida peeps, be looking at the weather forecast today and tomorrow, we got another one headed our way.
