As I typed the title for today’s little blog, a vision popped into my head. I could see angels ready for battle against evil. Wow, makes you wonder what I’m going to share in this little blog this morning hmmm.
It’s really not that earth-shattering. Today I just come to you to ask for prayers. You all are so wonderful about leaning in to pray whenever I’ve asked, and those prayers have done some pretty amazing things.
Our Marco Patriots team is deploying to Western NC this morning. Some amazing volunteers have stepped up to donate a mountain of supplies, from sleeping bags to tents, batteries, thermalware, and so much more. Our team will not only be delivering supplies but also providing support to some of the areas still without roads. Side by side’s and ATVs will be the vehicles of choice while there, as they assist local teams on the ground. So friends, I ask for prayers over our team as they travel and as they work over the coming days. May Father keep them, and all those working to help the people of Western NC, safe.
Like most people, I’ve been so touched watching how God’s children have come together to help each other. The outpouring of love in the giving of supplies, providing food stations for hot meals, and spending time to just pray with people, it brings joy to your heart. I’m guessing it brings joy to Father’s heart as well.
So friends, this morning, I just ask that as our team deploys, we in turn deploy prayers. Continue to lift prayers for all those affected by the recent storms, prayers for strength to face each day, prayers for guidance as they attempt to rebuild, and prayers for rest as they fight the exhaustion of not knowing what to do next. Lift prayers for all the rescue workers, the volunteers, and those who are just showing up to help in any way they can.
You know what I say about lifting prayers, the more we lift in unison, the louder we are in Heaven π .
p.s. Thanks to my friend Allison Watts for the beautiful sunset picture from Costa Rica, the cover of today’s little blog.
Isaiah 40:31
But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
