Make a List

If you’re like me, you tend to still have an old-fashioned to-do list. I find myself making lists for just about everything from grocery shopping to event planning. I’ve even been known to use those large sticky flip charts and have to-do lists stuck to the wall of my office 🙂 . My mind just works best when I can see the to-do’s in front of me and develop a plan of attack so to speak.

This morning I was talking with Father I was sharing with him that I was feeling a tad overwhelmed. There are just many things going on in many different directions. I was asking for guidance and direction because again, I’m feeling like I’m not juggling the way I need to. As he usually does, I felt Father say, “Make a list”, and then I got that tingly feeling I get when I feel His presence. It’s funny because after I heard those words, I felt calmer.

I realized this morning while talking with God that the answer to prayer doesn’t always have to be this profound action. I don’t need the Heavens to part and mountains to move to feel like Father is guiding me through challenging times. Sometimes just a simple word like “Make a list” is enough of an answer to a prayer to get me going.

Yes friends, Father answers our prayers, sometimes the answers are very small and simple. Other times we see amazing miracles happen. What is important is our belief that God will answer our prayers. We need to hold strong in our faith knowing that He is always with us. And…we need to sometimes look for the answer to prayers in small ways.

So, take a little time as you begin your day and chat with Father. Share your fears, anxiety, share your excitement and happiness, grow in your relationship with Him, and look for the little ways that He is answering prayer in your life 🙂 .

Continued prayers my friends for all those in TN, NC and FL, and continued prayers lifted for Emily Rea’s return.

Mark 11:24
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
