The Reason for Doing

Something struck me this morning as I logged in to write this little blog. My website for Inspirasuns is very small, just two pages. The homepage is where my most recent blogs are shown and then there is a page where you can find all all of the blogs I’ve written. I’ve kept it simple because I’m just here to share some daily thoughts about Father and if lucky, some beautiful pictures of His sunrises and sunsets.

When I log in each morning I’m taken to the admin side of my site. I go to the posts tab and click on write a new post. Well, this morning when I logged in an ad came up, “Make money from your website”. It actually irritated me when I read it. Immediately I thought to myself, “I don’t want to make money from my website, that’s not what it’s about”. This may be a stretch here, but the other thing that went through my head was Jesus flipping tables and driving the money changers out of the temple.

Please don’t misunderstand, I’m not saying that using a website to make money is a bad thing. I understand that for many businesses their website is their storefront. I don’t fall into that bucket is all.

My reason for writing this little blog each day is I felt Father tapping me on the shoulder to share His message. This little website and little blog are not here to make money or get clicks or likes, I’m just here sharing a message. You know what, without advertising, without “boosting” on social media, I have a pretty nice following of supporters. Many of you have reached out and said thank you for this daily message. Many of you have said you look forward to reading it each day. At the end of the day, what matters is that Father’s love is being shared.

I think it’s a good thing for us to ask ourselves why we do what we do. Are we doing the right thing or are we doing things just for financial gain? Are we listening to Father each day and asking Him to guide our decisions? At the end of the day, He will provide for us. If we open our hearts to doing what He has called us to do, if we give of ourselves, He will provide all that we need.

So friends, thank you for taking a little time each day to read this little blog. I hope that together we can all continue to grow in our relationship with Father. Have a wonderful day.

Continued prayers for the return of sweet Emily Rea and for all those still recovering from Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

1 Peter 3:15
But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.
