Stop and Look Around

Over the past week or so I’ve been seeing some beautiful pictures on social media. Everyone is posting pictures of the change of the seasons. Now some of those changes, while beautiful, hmm, I’m ok with seeing from a distance, (the snow for instance).

I’ve been seeing gorgeous pictures of the fall colors in the Northeast. The orange, red, and yellows are so vibrant, and I can imagine the smell of fall in the air. A few friends in Colorado are posting pictures of their first snowfalls. Everything is blanketed in white, and that snow on the evergreens, well, it’s a Christmas postcard for sure.

Yesterday I spent the morning enjoying the sea. The islands and their wildlife are so peaceful and so beautiful. The sky was so brilliant blue with those white puffy clouds, it was like a painting. We stopped near a small island at one point filled with white gulls, (picture below), and all I could do was say, “Thank you Father for your beautiful creation”.

Friends, this place we call home, the place that God created in just six short days, truly is amazing. From the Redwood Forest in OR down to the Everglades of SW FL and everywhere in between, this country has beauty that only Father could have imagined when He created it.

I encourage you to take some time today to just stop and look around. Sunday, a day of rest, so why not ask Jesus to spend the day with you as you take in the simple beauty of creation?

Have a wonderful day friends, stop and look around, and give thanks for what you see 🙂 .

Genesis 1:1
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
