Today is my husband’s birthday. He’s been up north the past few days visiting friends, (a good friend turned 80 last week), and family. He’s heading home today and I’m looking forward to having him back.
As I sat down to write this little blog this morning asking Father what message I could share, I realized the best message for today is the joy of celebration in our lives. It’s my husband’s special day, but I’m the one who is truly blessed.
God brought us together and I’m blessed to be married to my best friend. Yes, like all marriages, we’ve had our challenges, we’ve had difficult times, and we’ve worked hard to overcome them. Marriage is not for the faint of heart, and it takes work. We’ve grown closer and closer with each year, and I think it’s because Father has become the center of our life together.
My husband is rooted deep in his faith. He has been an incredible father to our children, always being there for them, and he’s a devoted Opa to our grandchildren. Yes, today is his special day, however I’m the one who is so blessed.
So today, I give thanks for the joy of birthday celebrations. I give thanks that Father brought this child of His into the world. I give thanks that Father brought him into my life and has given us a wonderful life together.
Friends, today, give thanks for the celebrations in your life. Hug your spouse if you are able, if they have gone on to be with Jesus, give thanks for the life you had together, knowing that you will be together again. We’re blessed friends, sometimes we don’t realize just how much.
Thank you Father for the gift of my husband. Happy Birthday Bob, I love you ❤ .

Thanks be to God for His inexpressible gift!
