I’ve shared here before that Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. There is just something about the coming together of family and friends to give thanks for the gifts we have in our lives. Of course, the delightful smells and tastes of Thanksgiving don’t hurt either š .
This weekend I saw wonderful pictures on social media of families already gathering for the week ahead. I smiled as I looked at kids helping grandparents begin the preparation of traditional dishes that will fill the table on Thursday. My heart was happy seeing college students home with their parents and taking in a football game together. Others are finalizing plans for their annual Friendsgiving dinners. Yes, this is a week of thanks.
This morning as I thought about the week ahead, I decided to use this little blog to give thanks for one thing each day. I encourage you to do the same. Let us all take a moment to recognize the many gifts in our lives and to simply thank Father for those gifts.
So today friends I give thanks for all of you. Your continued support of this little blog has blessed me beyond words. I’m thankful for so many of you who reach out to me via text or email to share your appreciation. Those of you that I meet in person and hug me to say thanks for being here each day, yes I’m truly blessed.
Thank you Father for the gift of the family that has come together here through this little blog. Thank you for helping me to hear Your message and giving me the gift of being able to share it. May I never take these gifts for granted.
Have a wonderful day friends. Take just a moment to give thanks to our Lord for one thing today. We all have so much to be thankful for š .
1 Thessalonians 5:18
