We have an unspoken rule in our house that we don’t listen to Christmas music until after Thanksgiving. Now granted, usually first thing the next day I’ve got our favorite carols playing. It’s always enjoyable when that one song comes on and I’m like, “Ah, I love this one!”.
Over the past few years, I’ve included a few favorite Christmas songs in this little blog, as the messages of those songs are so wonderful. I had planned to do that again this morning, but then I was like, it’s only December 3rd, so maybe it’s too soon for that. So, I’ll wait a few weeks for the favorite Christmas tune :-).
What I do want to share, though, is one of the most beautiful gifts of the Lord’s Prayer. Jackie Evancho has a truly gifted voice—some would say the voice of an angel. She’s older now and is writing some of her own music, which is nice to see. However, her gift of singing classical music—well, any music for that matter—truly comes from God.
This morning I was reminded of her singing the Lord’s Prayer and it almost makes you stop in your tracks. So today, I share what I’m calling the Carol of Our Father. Enjoy this rendition of the most healing prayer we’ve been given.
Have a great day friends. Please continue to lift prayers for those who need them today, especially for the return of sweet Emily Rea.
Isaiah 64:8
But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and your are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.
