After yesterday’s little blog post, I felt the need to share a song of hope. It’s one of my favorite Christmas songs, although I don’t think it should only be heard at this time of the year. This song speaks to Mary directly and asks the simple question, “Mary did you know?”.
I can’t help but wonder if she did know just how blessed she was to carry the living Son of God within her. Mothers, you know how you felt the day you gave birth. When you held your little one for the very first time, the bond is unbreakable. Imagine Mary in the stable, the first time she held Baby Jesus, can you imagine that bond? Did she know when she saw Him for the first time, all the miracles He would do, and how He would give His life for all humanity?
I just encourage you to close your eyes and listen to this beautiful song. I think it will be a wonderful start to this last weekend before Christmas. A song of hope for us all.
Have a great day my friends. Prayers lifted for Jan’s family, for those in Western NC, and for sweet Emily Rea to be returned home.
John 1:14
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
