God Loves You

I guess that just about says it all, doesn’t it? I’m not sure I need to say much more in this little blog today. 🙂 Seriously, though, as I sat on the lanai this morning spending my quiet time with Father, I asked what I could share about Him today. Those three words popped immediately into my head: “God Loves You.” Okay, I thought, that’s an easy one to share, although I think everyone pretty much knows that, right?

Yes, I believe deep down, everyone knows that God loves them. However, sometimes that knowledge gets buried deep. Sometimes people walk away from God, they turn their back on Jesus. Maybe they’ve been hurt in some way; the loss of a family member, or a career, perhaps they turned to drugs or other abuse and Father slipped further from their mind and heart.

God and His Son Jesus, never leave us, we leave them, and sometimes we may not even realize we’ve left them behind. Before we know it, we’re in the midst of a challenge, a bad situation, or a loss and feel totally alone. Ahhh yes, that is when satan steps in to fill the void and what does he do…makes things even worse. He spends the time trying to convince us we are not worthy, he tries to convince us that Father doesn’t love us and that we are alone. And yet, there is Father always with us just waiting for us to ask for His help.

In the midst of the darkness, that is when the light of Father will shine the brightest. We just need to open the door to let that brightness come in. I believe it really is as simple as asking Him and His Son, who He gave for us, to help in our lives. Whatever challenges we face, whatever situations we are placed in, however bad things may seem, if we open ourselves to let the pain go, and let Father heal, He will.

Yes, my friends, God Loves You. He loves all of His children with a love so great it surpasses our understanding. He walks beside us every day to be a part of our life. He will never force Himself on us, He gave us the free will to choose Him. And…when we do, we enjoy a peace and joy that only He can radiate.

So yes, I know that you know, God Loves You, but every now and then a little reminder can’t hurt 🙂 . Have a wonderful day friends, and continued prayers for Western NC and for sweet Emily Rea’s return.

1 John 4:19
We love because he first loved us.
