I’m finding myself running a little behind as I sit down to write this little blog this morning. Time has gotten away from me. The weather outside is cold and rainy and I’ve spent too much time trying to determine where my winterish clothes are 🙂 .

So this morning I’m going to fall back to a little of this and a little of that to round out this little blog. First, a little of “this”…always begin with prayer, and there is no other prayer to fall to than the Lord’s Prayer.

Our Father who art in Heaven
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory
for ever and ever. Amen

Now for a little of “that”. I’ve mentioned before that my friend Shannon shares scripture and reflection with me each morning. The reflection I read this morning discusses how Jesus wants our help in sharing His message. I love this line in his reflection, “He knows us better than we know ourselves, and out of love He invites us to be with Him. When He calls us by name, He reaches into the depths of our heart and soul.” So today friends, let us answer the call that Jesus makes, let us share a little piece of Him in all that we do.

Let’s be keen to the opportunity to share our faith. A simple smile to a stranger, pay it forward in the coffee drive thru, a thank you to the convenient store clerk, just a few small ways to assist Jesus in sharing that message. We got this friends, we can answer Jesus when he calls us by name, “Here I am”.

James 2:17
So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
