It seems like a silly thing to say, the title of today’s little blog I mean, it’s OK to pray. I do think there are times though when people feel uncomfortable doing so.
I’ve shared here before that our family says grace before every meal. Regardless of where we are, at home, in a restaurant, sitting at the desk in our office, it doesn’t matter, we say a prayer of thanks. If we are out at a meal with friends, I’ll simply ask, “Why don’t we say a prayer”, and everyone is happy to do so. Over time at those meals, it has just become what we all do, and now, we go a step further and even hold hands before π .
The more that we do something, the more that it becomes second nature to us. I don’t even think about saying a prayer of thanks when I sit down by myself at my desk to have lunch. It just happens, it’s ingrained in me. It’s kind of like driving your car, over time you have built habits. You don’t even think about turning on the blinker before you turn right, it’s second nature, (unless of course, you’re in my town where blinkers are optional with some people, but I digress). My point is when you do something enough it does become natural, and when you don’t do it, you notice.
So yes friends, it’s OK to pray, regardless of where you are or what you’re doing. Nothing flashy, just a prayer from the heart, Jesus is always there to listen. Take time today to offer a prayer to Him, even if just in your office at work before lunch. In my opinion, every little prayer we offer brings us closer and closer to the Father.
Have a great day my friends, and continued prayers today for those in Western, NC, in California, and continued prayers for sweet Emily Rea’s return.

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
