Reach Out

At the beginning of January, I wrote a little blog about commitment vs. resolution. I committed to getting myself healthy again this year, something that I’m focused on. Things aren’t moving along as fast as I had hoped, that’s for sure. I’ve seen progress, but then things come to a halt. Ugh…the struggle is real 🙂 .

This morning as I sat and had my morning chat with Father I was sharing how I was frustrated with the ups and downs of this journey. I’ve been true to the plan I’ve set in motion for myself but the results are not what I have hoped for at this point. I asked Him to help me stay focused and to keep pushing forward. In response, I heard clearly, “You’re not alone, reach out for help”. Ahh, thank you as always Lord for the guidance.

Yes, there are others who are sharing this journey with me and all I need to do is reach out for support. Isn’t it funny how that is not the first thing we think of when we are struggling with something? As usual, here I am feeling frustrated, and rather than talk to someone who is walking a similar path, I let satan dance around in my head telling me this will never work. Well, this morning I say, go dance at a different party satan, I’m going to keep moving forward with the help of others 🙂 .

Friends, Father doesn’t expect us to go through life alone, quite the opposite. We were made to interact with others, we were made to have relationships, lasting ones. We were made to be together and to help each other grow in this life. So, don’t try to do things alone, (she says pointing the finger back at herself), reach out and let others help along the way. It’s what we are built to do 🙂 .

Have a great day friends. Continued prayers today specifically for our sweet Emily Rea. Father, please bring this sweet child home.

Acts 20:35
In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how He himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’
