Even In Darkness He Is Here

I’ve shared here in this little blog about the wonderful group of women I used to work out with back home. Chix in Training we called ourselves, and we were a tight group. It was more than just a fitness journey, although that is how it started for each of us. We began each week with a scripture reading that set the tone for our week of workouts. We talked about exercise, food choices, and overall health. And…over time, we grew into close friends, more than that, we were like family. To this day I stay in touch, following their workouts on social media, and sharing moments via private chats.

Our workouts began at 5:00 a.m. so during the summer we were fortunate to catch sunrises as our class would come to an end. Driving in we’d occasionally catch a full moon high in the sky and we’d all comment on it while warming up. Over time we began to share those pictures in our private chat, “Did you guys see that moon tonight”, and everyone would share pictures of their view.

So, I’ve given you a lot of background just to get to the message in this little blog today 🙂 . Last night while we were grilling dinner outside, I looked up and yep, there was a huge bright moon in the sky. I immediately thought of my Chix family. I took a picture of that moon and I was amazed when I looked at the photo. The rays coming off the moon were so bright that it looked like the North Star, (picture below). I looked back at the moon after that and I could see moon rays coming off it, not as bright as what was captured on my camera but they were there nonetheless. I don’t recall seeing these before, it was quite interesting. I sent that picture in our chat group and commented to everyone how it looked like that North Star!

Fast forward to this morning and my usual check-in with Father. As I normally do, I asked what message I could share today here with you all. What I heard was, “Even in darkness I’m here”. I immediately thought of that moon last night and how incredibly bright it was. More importantly, the fact that it looked like the North Star, guiding the wisemen to the Baby Jesus, or Lord. A reminder that He is always here for us, even in the darkest times. He will provide the light to help us see our way through.

God really does make Himself known to us in so many ways. We just need to take the time to see Him, feel Him at work in our lives. He’s here friends, and He always will be.

Have a good day everyone. Take some time this morning to enjoy the sunrise, or moon set and remember, even in darkness He is here 🙂 .

p.s. Special thanks to Diane Janco for her beautiful sunset picture from Marco Island, FL last night, the cover of today’s little blog.

John 8:12
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
