Strength

I sat quietly this morning just looking up at the clouds. They were making their way across the moon and it was interesting to watch. It was also so quiet this morning as I sat and shared a little bit of time with Father. Things were just “so”, I guess you could say. Times like that are so peaceful and they help me to focus before the day gets started.

As I asked Father to help me with a message for today’s little blog, the word strength came to mind. I thought about Jesus then, and how incredibly strong He was. Sometimes I think people think of Him as this gentle man who just made His way from town to town loving everyone. Now don’t get me wrong, He was a gentle man and He did and does love everyone, however, that doesn’t mean He wasn’t a pillar of strength. My goodness, just think about what it took for Him to travel as he did.

Much more than that though, He was a warrior fighting every day to share the love of Father. He possessed an inner strength like no other. And yes…there were even times when that strength was made known, for example, the flipping of the tables in the temple using a whip to drive the money changes from God’s house. Yes, strength indeed.

We all have a strength within us, I believe we are all stronger than we know. This morning I asked Father to help me draw on that strength to overcome obstacles that keep me from doing His will today.

Yes friends, we’re a strong lot. As challenging as it can be at times, we got this thing called life. We’re not in this alone and I truly believe we are all here at this time for a reason. So, spend a little time with our Lord this morning, ask Him to help you draw on that strength, and make your way out to tackle the day.

Have a great day friends, prayers this morning for all those in Kentucky dealing with the recent floods, those in NC and California, and prayers for sweet Emily Rea.

Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
