Do I Make a Difference

I’m guessing this is a question we all ask ourselves at some point in our lives. If you’re like me you’ve asked it many times. I suppose it’s human nature to wonder if what you’re doing is making a difference, making things better, helping someone or something. I think we, God’s children, are wired to want to do just that, make a difference.

Sometimes I wonder as I sit down here each morning to share some simple thoughts in this little blog, I wonder if it makes a difference. I’ve said from the beginning that I don’t do this for the clicks or views, I do this to just try and share a simple message of Jesus’ love for us. If I’m lucky, I can capture a stunning sunrise or sunset picture to enhance the point 🙂 .

Just as I feel that maybe this little blog might not be making any difference, I’ll get a text, a private message, or an email from someone thanking me for the words that day. I’ll see a friend and they’ll comment on how the message in this little blog was what they needed to hear at just the right time. That my friends is Father at work, not me. He provides the words and the message, I just type out what I think I hear from Him.

We all have special gifts and talents, even though we may not think so. God has gifted us with them and if we take a little time to recognize what they are, I believe there are opportunities to share them for His purpose. I didn’t think that writing was one of my talents, and I’m by no means an author. I’ve found though, since starting this blog almost three years ago, that even though I may not be a prize-winning novelist, I do enjoy sharing my thoughts.

So friends, take some time to look into what talents you have. What special gifts has Father blessed you with and how can you use them to share the love He gives? You might just be surprised at what you find. We do make a difference friends, don’t ever underestimate what you can do with Father behind you 🙂 .

Have a great day friends, continued prayers for those in KY, NC, and CA, and for our sweet Emily Rea.

Psalm 28:7
The Lord is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to Him.
