Standing Strong

I’m not sure about you, but I find that the closer I get in my relationship with Father, the more satan tries to destroy it. His ultimate goal, after all, is to separate the Lord from His children. Knowing that Father does not demand that we follow Him, giving us the choice to choose the relationship, satan freely moves about, trying to plant doubt in our minds.

So, when our relationship with our Lord grows, the opportunities for satan to intercede lessen. Yeah, he doesn’t take kindly to that, so he ramps up his efforts. That, my friends, is when we need to stand strong in our faith and love in Christ. We need to stand strong in doing the will of Father.

There are days though, when it’s not easy. The fallen one, well he can be very subtle at times. He preys on those moments when we may feel alone, he preys on those moments when we get angry or feel slighted. I mean it’s like an alarm goes off in the dark one’s realm, as soon as those feelings occur, he’s like right there to pounce. I can hear him say, “Ah, they left the door open for me again”. Funny thing about leaving doors open, all you have to do is turn around, grab the handle, and close that door.

Yes, standing strong can be difficult, however, it’s easier if you have a friend who stands with you. You know the saying, “safety in numbers”. Well, Jesus is always standing with us, He is always right next to us. So the next time we leave that door open for satan to dance around, we just need to call to Jesus, “Can you please close that door for me”. Then…let the love of Christ drive away the feelings and emotions that opened that door.

We got this friends. Standing strong with Jesus beside us. Ya, that’s a force that satan can’t defeat, even more than that, it’s a force he fears. I’m good with that 🙂 . Have a great day my friends!

Special thanks to my friend Joey Waves for his amazing sunrise picture from the Picayune State Forest this past Sunday morning. It’s the cover of today’s little blog!
