He Knows

I don’t know about you, but this morning when I realized it was Friday, I was pretty grateful. It’s been a busy week, and we have a busy weekend at church. Our Bishop is visiting this weekend and we have a large group of parishioners being confirmed. It’s a weekend to celebrate and enjoy Father at work. The preparation for the visit, combined with the day-to-day, has made for a full plate for many. We’re looking ahead to Holy Week as well which is just around the corner 🙂 . So yes, I gave a little, “Ahhhh Friday”, when I got up this morning.

As I sat with Father this morning I have to admit I shared with him how tired I was, and that I could use a little boost of energy to get me going. Not long after I heard, “Rest child”. Hmm, should I go back to bed I was wondering just for an instant. Great thought, but not too realistic. I did however realize that taking a break from the little blog for the weekend would allow me to rest a little bit. Even though Saturdays are a little later start for me and I come here to post later in the morning, it still causes a little stress to make sure I get here. My Sunday mornings are jam-packed so I’m up almost as early as I am on a weekday to get the little blog finished before heading out to church.

So friends, I’m going to take a little break from the blog for the next two days to try and rest a bit. My body and my mind are telling me they need some downtime.

You know, Father knows what we need before we even ask. Many times He’s telling us what we need and we aren’t listening, sounds like a typical kid doesn’t it 🙂 . Father really does know best! Yes, it really is easier if we just listen to Him, share with Him all that we feel and think. He really will take it from there, even though He pretty much knows what we are feeling and thinking. He just wants us to come to Him for restoration.

Take some time if you can this weekend friends to recharge yourself. Spend time with our Lord, relax and enjoy the springtime, give your body and mind a chance to chill.

Have a great day and a great weekend, I’ll be back on Monday a.m. with my usual ramblings 🙂 . Thanks as always my friends for being here and continued prayers for Emily Rea’s return.

Matthew 6:8
Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
