I’ve worn corrective lenses for my eyes since I was…well since I was old enough to remember. I think my first pair landed on my face when I was about six. It’s a joke with my eye doctor when he asks if I can read any line on the chart, (without my contacts in), and I respond, “What chart”. Ya, I’m kind of blind as a bat without my contacts.
People who don’t have this issue, meaning their vision doesn’t require correction, they really don’t understand what it’s like. You wake up in the morning and everything is blurry. In or on go your corrective lenses, ahh, now I can see. Yes, it gets old at times, but I guess, it is what it is.
Where am I going in this little blog this morning? Well, my husband is having a second cataract repaired this morning. He had the first successfully done a few weeks ago. When he went to his surgeon last week his vision was 20/20 in that eye. He’s looking forward to having the procedure completed today, and within a few weeks, hopefully 20/20 in that one as well. I’m a little jealous that he will probably be without glasses when this is all done, but I’m happy for him.
Friends, I just ask for a little prayer this morning as he goes through surgery. A prayer for the surgeon and the nurses who take such good care of him, they really are amazing. Thank goodness for the skills that Father gives to our healthcare professionals.
Have a wonderful day, may it be clear and bright. Continued prayers for sweet Emily Rea’s return.
