Life After

Over the years I know there have been times in my life when I’ve wondered where God is. It’s taken me many years to get to the point of having a true one-on-one relationship with Him. I’ve always believed in Him and in Jesus, but there were times when I wondered if they were truly present, as I couldn’t really feel their presence.

I think when we face difficulties, such as the loss of a loved one, or a natural disaster that destroys our home, we feel lost, unsure of why things happen, and wonder if Father is really there. I’ve had many conversations with friends and family over the years as they have asked, “Why would God allow this to happen”.  I know there have been times when I’ve scratched my head and had to have a straight-up conversation with Father to ask Him to help me understand why something is happening.  Admittedly I don’t have all the answers, but I sure hope I’ll get them when I sit with Jesus one day. And…I truly believe we will be with Him one day, He promised us that.

Yesterday, my brother sent me a link to a very short YouTube clip. It is such a simple explanation to the questions we might have about the presence of Father. Here is a LINK to that clip.  As I said, it’s short but powerful.

Yes friends, there will be times in our life when we face difficulties, however, our Lord is always, always there next to us.  In those most difficult moments, we need to lean into Him asking for strength and guidance. Be vulnerable, be open to hearing His voice. If you sit quietly, you will hear it and you will feel the love that can only come from Him.

Have a good day friends. Continued prayers this morning for the return of sweet Emily Rea.

John 14:1-3
Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.
