I continue to be blessed by comments from so many of you. Your words of encouragement are so appreciated. Many of you say that you enjoy reading my ramblings each morning (or whenever you get to them) and that somehow my words are “just what I needed to hear today”. Well friends, I can assure you that my ramblings in this little blog are a gift that Father provides every day. Sometimes I come here with a lengthy message, and other times it’s just a simple prayer, but in each case, He helps me put my thoughts down to share with you.
Today’s little blog is a simple one, a simple message, and one that we all know. That message…God loves us and is here for us in whatever we are going through. I find these days that I feel His presence in even the simplest things I do. I guess that is part of building an intimate relationship with Him. That’s what He wants you to know. The Lord wants a relationship with us that is so deep and so full of love, that we involve Him in all that we do.
So yes friends, just a simple message this morning. Don’t ever forget that Jesus walks beside you every day. I’ll leave you with this wonderful poem that I’m sure you’ve read before. A reminder that not only does the Lord walk beside us every day, but there are days when He carries us through 🙂 .
One night I dreamed a dream.
As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
One belonging to me and one to my Lord.
After the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that at many times along the path of my life,
especially at the very lowest and saddest times,
there was only one set of footprints.
This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it.
“Lord, you said once I decided to follow you,
You’d walk with me all the way.
But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life, there was only one set of footprints.
I don’t understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me.”
He whispered, “My precious child, I love you and will never leave you,
never, ever, during your trials and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you.”
Have a good day my friends, and thank you as always for being here.
Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave your or forsake you.
