Monday – No Worries

Ok, everyone, start of a new week, yes, dare I say, it’s the dreaded Monday. Actually, it’s a good day to start a good week. Let’s shake off the ho-hums of the start of the work week (those of you who are retired, well, you remember what it was like), and just get to it.

This morning, I offer a prayer for the start of this week that we may be guided by Father and His Son in all that we do.

Heavenly Father, as we start this new week, we come before You with a heart full of gratitude for the gift of life and the opportunities before us. We thank you for rest over the weekend and for the chance to begin this week fresh.

Lord, we pray for Your guidance and wisdom in the decisions that we will make this week. Help us to be a light to those around us and to act with love and integrity in all that we do. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit so that we may have the strength to face whatever challenges come our way.

We know, Lord, that you guide all things, and we place this week into Your hands. We ask that Your will be done. May we show you in everything that we do. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Friends, I know that the start of a new week can be a bummer at times. We all wish that the weekends were longer (again, you retirees recall what it was like). No worries though, we’re all in this together, and we’re in it, with our Lord. So, perk up, we got this 🙂 .

Make it a great day, friends, and remember, God is always with us, He will never forsake us, and He always wins 🙂 .

p.s. Thanks to my friend Patty Gibbs for the great sunset picture from Naples,

Isiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
