Be Still and Know

This morning I came across a “short” on YouTube. I’m sure I have the verbiage incorrect, as it’s a new social media term, I’m guessing. I guess these are short videos, almost snippets of someone sharing a message. You social media techies out there, well, give me some grace if I butchered that explanation 🙂 .

Anyway, this little message was CeCe Winans giving the background on her song “Be Still and Know”. My goodness, her message here is almost as good as the song she wrote. She is so right when she says, “The enemy doesn’t want you to be still, he wants you to be pressured. He wants you to focus on the mountain and not the one who created the mountain”.

Wonderful words and message as we begin the week, friends. When you don’t know which way to turn and feel overwhelmed, stop and breathe, and just be still. Focus on our Lord, not on the pressure you might be feeling. Give all of that to Him.

Oh, and take a couple of minutes to listen to the tune she is discussing in that “short”. It is also a great way to begin this day and this week. Be still, friends, and know that He is Lord.

Have a wonderful day and week—prayers up as always for the return of sweet Emily Rea.

The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.
