I’ve realized lately that Father brings people into our lives for a reason. You might be thinking, “Really, you just realized that?”. Well, no, I’ve known that for a long time and have even said it to many people. I suppose what I mean is that I’m realizing how blessed I am to have certain people in my life.
I was talking to a friend last night, and we were sharing some situations we had both experienced lately. As we talked and supported each other, a feeling came over me that I believe was Jesus showing me the gift of this special person. There is a trust between us that is honest and special. We joke, we laugh, we don’t sugar coat, we don’t just say what we know the other wants to hear, we care, and ya, sometimes we get emotional. It’s a friendship that you hope for, and I’m blessed to have it π .
Sometimes I think we can take for granted that people will always be there. It’s important to step back and acknowledge the gifts that are right before us, those of family and dear friends.
Just a short message this morning, friends. After you read this little blog this morning, stop, take just a little bit of time to give thanks for the blessings in your life. Make it personal. Tell Father thank you for _ fill in the blank. Say their name out loud. Don’t take for granted the gifts He has given.
Have a good day, everyone. Continued prayers this morning as well for the return of sweet Emily Rea.
Proverbs 18:24
A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
