If you’ve been following this little blog for very long, you know the story of how it started. I was originally going to write a little book that featured scripture and the beauty of Father’s sunrises and sunsets. Well, as happens much of the time, our plans don’t always take us where we want to go, or better yet, we don’t pursue them. So I did kind of the next best thing and started this little blog.
At any rate, the idea was to have a way to share the simple beauty of a sunrise or sunset and give credit to the One who blesses us every day with this beauty. This little blog has grown into more than that. I guess that’s a good thing. You all get to read my ramblings, but hopefully the messages touch something within you to think about and give thanks to our Lord.
This morning, I just come here and give thanks to Father for the gift of sunsets. I also give thanks to Him for the gift of a beautiful family. My granddaughter has taken to snapping pictures of sunrises and sunsets and sending them to me. She surprised me on Thursday evening with a stunning view of the sunset in the Heartland. When I saw the pictures, I smiled and felt calm looking at the beauty, and a love for the person who took these pictures. Yes, I’m truly blessed, friends, we all are.
On this Saturday, make time to step outside and take in the sunset. Make time to give thanks for the gifts in your life. Make time to thank the Lord for blessing you with all those gifts.
Have a wonderful day friends. Prayers lifted today and every day for the return of sweet Emily Rea.
Psalm 113:3
From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised!
