These last few days have been kind of a whirlwind. They have flown by, and as I write this little blog this morning, I think about all the people I’ve seen, met, and hugged. I’ve had amazing conversations, and I’ve overheard many others. What I realize this morning is how much words can affect our being. Kind words, a simple “I appreciate you”, or “Thank you for being here”, they can make your entire day. The opposite holds true as well, of course. Unkind words, words that imply they can hurt, even if unintended.
This morning, this little blog will be just that, little. I just came here today to encourage you to take a moment before you speak. Think about who you are speaking to, and understand how your words can affect others. You have the opportunity to make or break someone’s day. That is a powerful thing.
Simple request from our Lord, “Love others as I have loved you”. When we do friends, this place we call home, well, it becomes a brighter place.
