When Lost

This past week has not been the best for many. The events that have occurred have shaken lives, and quite frankly, I believe, serve as a wake-up call for our nation. The very fabric of what our country was founded on has been tossed aside. As we remembered 9/11 and the acts of that horrific day, and now deal with the assassination of a political figure, just for sharing his views, yes, I say the very fabric of our nation is being attacked.

Our country was built first and foremost on the belief in God, our Father. He is the foundation, the rock of this nation. Our rights are given by Him. The freedoms we share, the freedoms we enjoy, they come from Him. He was the first to give us free will. When individuals are attacked for exercising those freedoms, then yes, the very fabric of our nation is at risk.

Many this morning feel lost. I know I’m finding myself very unsettled, wondering how in the world this beautiful nation that I love has come so far to this point. How have we, as God’s children, come to the point that when a man or groups of individuals are killed, others celebrate? “They deserved it”, I’ve heard said.

Friends, there is only one being that is allowed vengeance, only one being who will be the judge of each of us, and that is our Lord. One day, we will all face Him, whether we believe that or not. There will be a day when we must stand before Him and account for what we said, didn’t say, and what we did or didn’t do. I think this is a pretty good time to start acting like that as a nation.

I’ve been saying all week to keep sharing the love of Christ in all that we do. The more we do this, the more opportunities you have to open the eyes of those who may not know Him.

I shared this song a few weeks ago, and my goodness, I think today is a good day to hear it again. If you are feeling lost and unsettled today, perhaps this song might help. Continue to pray for this nation, friends, let Father hear your heart.

Revelation 22:12
Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with m, to repay each one for what he has done.
