The Quiet

This morning, I spent my usual time with Father. As I often do, I asked Him what message I could share today. Quite often, a message comes to me pretty quickly. Not today, though. What I heard was, well, what I heard was quiet.

As I sat and tried to make sense of the message, I realized that was the message. There are times in this life when you don’t have to have the words. There are times in this life when just being there is enough. There are times in this life when whatever you say may not even matter. There are times in this life when you just need to be still, be quiet, and let Father do what He will do.

I guess if you are like me, a type A personality, a doer, you also find it hard not to do or say. You want to fix. What we need to accept, what I need to accept, is that Jesus fixes, not us, not me. Jesus is in control, and our trust and faith in His works are what will guide us through this life.

So today, friends, whatever you have planned, take some time to accept and enjoy the quiet. Let that time be spent with Father and let Him share His message with you in whatever form that takes. You might be surprised how the message of quiet fills you more than any other message you receive.

Have a good day friends. Lifting prayers today for the return of sweet Emily Rea.

The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”
