Yes, I hope things are better today. I hope when the sun comes up on Jamaica, we find that the destruction and potential loss of life is not as bad as we feared yesterday. I hope things are better today. I pray that those in Cuba and beyond who are still in the path of Hurricane Melissa have prepared. I pray that this storm falls apart as it hits the mountains. Yes, I pray that things are better today.
This morning I also asked Father to help ME be better today. I pray that I can open my heart a little wider, be a little more patient, let things roll off a little easier, and see the good in all I meet. Yes, I pray that I’m a better child of God today than I was yesterday.
We all have the opportunity to improve. We have the chance each day to choose how we will handle what comes our way. And you know what…we can be better than we were yesterday.
So friends, as you begin your day, continue to say prayers for all those affected by the storm. For Jamaica, let us pray that things are better than we suspect they will be and that Father will wrap His loving arms of hope around them as they recover and rebuild. For those still in the path, let us pray that they have prepared and that Father will wrap arms of protection around them.
Today will be better, my friends, if we are better today than we were yesterday. Have a good day, everyone.
