Let it Flow

Did your mind go right to the song from the movie, “Frozen”? You know the “Let it Go” song. Oops, sorry; now you will probably have that song in your head for the rest of the day. Totally not intended.

As I was thinking about this little blog today, I was also thinking about all the things on my to-do list for the next few days. We’re going to be with family for Thanksgiving, so there is quite a bit to do to get ready for that. Well, quite a bit might be somewhat of an understatement. Like most of you, I’m guessing, I’m trying to figure out how to fit 48 hours of tasks into 24 hours. Especially this time of the year when the Holidays are coming upon us. Hmmm, yes, even the best mathematician can’t make that work.

As I thought about all these things, I heard the words, “Let it flow.” I think that was Father saying, “Take a deep breath, focus on what is important, let the rest fall away”. That helped. I realized I can’t be in 12 places at once, and I can’t do everything by myself. Prioritize what is truly important, and realize that nothing on the list of things to-do is a fatal if it doesn’t get accomplished.

Friends, Thanksgiving is a week from today. Let’s take time to focus on what is important and just simply give thanks. Let the rest of the time flow as it will. Let’s keep the Lord in the center of the holiday, keep Him in the center of every day, and enjoy the gifts He provides.

So, if you are stressing about the holiday to-do list, stop for a moment and prioritize it, I mean, honestly, do so. Focus on what truly matters: family, friends, and maybe a little food πŸ™‚ .

Have a good day, friends, thank YOU for the support you give each day to this little blog. Continued prayers for the return of sweet Emily Rea. Oh, and thanks for the prayers for my friend earlier this week. She is doing well. Just lift another prayer this morning for her release from the hospital today πŸ™‚ .

Proverbs 19:21
Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.
