He Will Provide

This morning, I was sitting on the lanai (a Florida term for patio), spending my daily quiet time with Father. The fountain on our little lake had not yet come on, so it was indeed peaceful. I was watching as one of our many long-legged, pointy-beaked Florida birds was strolling along the bank. Before I knew it, he had hopped into the water and snatched a small fish for breakfast.

I just smiled at the sight and realized how blessed I am to live here. Then out of the blue, I heard the words, “He will provide”. Boy, isn’t that the truth? I said openly, “Thank you, Lord, yes, I know that you will always provide”.

Friends, as we head into this Thanksgiving, we just need to remember that our Lord is with us always. He will always provide for our needs. Not just the physical needs of things like food and water, but He will provide those needs of the heart. When we need strength to get through the day, He is there. When we need reassurance that we are not alone, He is there. When we need comfort from weariness, He is there.

Jesus knows our hearts, He knows our minds, He knows every need. He lived our life, and knows firsthand how difficult it can be. He died to make sure it was not the life we would be chained to. So friends, give thanks today, and every day, knowing that He will provide all that we need.

Have a good day friends. Prayers up for the return of sweet Emily Rea, may her family be blessed this Thanksgiving.

Philippians 4:19
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
