When I started this little blog three years ago, I thought it would be a nice way to share some great pictures of sunrises and sunsets along with a scripture verse. It was meant to be a way to just say thanks to Father for the many gifts He provides every day.
Now here I am over three years later, and I’m humbled by what this little blog has become. I hear from readers almost daily, thanking me for starting their day with inspiration. Others reach out to say that the words were “Just what I needed to hear today”. Father has guided the thoughts and words dropped here each morning. As I mentioned a few months ago, this is His little blog, not mine. I’m just the vehicle to share His message.
An unintended yet very special outcome of this little blog has been the growth of the community of prayer. Not only do readers find inspiration here, but they also feel support and strength in times of need. Some have started to reach out to me to ask if I’ll include them or loved ones in prayer. Oh my goodness, of course I will, and you all have been so amazing to lift prayers whenever I ask. We have built a community of support founded on faith and love in our Lord.
A long-time friend reached out to me yesterday, asking for prayers. We haven’t seen each other in many years; however keep in touch through social media. She was sharing that her first grandson was born on November 29th with a heart condition that requires surgery. Little Briggs will undergo a 10-hour open-heart surgery today. Oh my goodness, friends, if there is ever a time to lift prayers, now would be it.
Please, friends, lift prayers this morning for little Briggs. Lift prayers for the surgeon and the medical team, for Father to guide their hands as they work. Lift prayers for Briggs’s parents and grandparents that Father gives them strength to face this day, knowing that Briggs is in His loving care. As I always say, the more prayers resounding in Heaven, the more attention we get. So, let us send a chorus of prayers today for little Briggs and his family.
Thank you, friends, for always being here. Thank you for the community we have built together. May we continue to support each other through faith and love in our Lord.
Psalm 30:2
O Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you have healed me.
