Let Your Light Shine

For me, today is one of the most special days of the year. Today is National Wreaths Across America Day. This organization’s mission is to lay a wreath at the gravesite of every veteran, and they are making progress for sure.

The act of taking time to personally lay a wreath at the grave of a veteran, to say their name out loud, and to say thank you for your service, it’s is a moving experience. The experience is humbling, and it is an act of love performed by people who don’t even know the veteran in most cases. Over the years, we have been blessed to participate in this day, and we are so thankful to this organization and its mission.

Another reason today is so special, we get to be with our Marco Patriots friends in the annual Christmas parade. Like the Wreaths Across America organization, the Patriots help so many across the country. They, too, in most cases, are performing acts of love for perfect strangers. I’m humbled to be a part of this organization. Tonight we’ll celebrate Christmas, Island Style, and yes, not only share the love, but lots of candy for the kids too 🙂 .

Friends, there are so many ways to spread the good in this world. There are so many ways you can be involved and help others. This season, I encourage you to take some time and let your light shine before others. Give a gift, share a smile, help a stranger, you’ll be glad you did.

Have a wonderful day, my friends. Continue prayers for little Briggs and for the return of sweet Emily Rea.

Matthew 5:16
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
