The Shadows

This week I’ve been walking before I write this little blog. It’s been interesting as I get into this new routine. First, I must say, I’m enjoying getting my body and mind going before I come here to share. I spend my time with Father first thing, read the inspiration my friend sends to me, and then I head out to get my body going. I find myself coming here with more energy and a clearer mind to share some ramblings. Gee, aren’t you lucky πŸ™‚ ?

Since I’m walking early in the morning, before the sun rises, it’s been cool to see how bright it is outside just from the moon’s light. I realize this will change each day/week as the moon’s phases occur, but right now it’s bright outside. Like, I mean, I don’t need street lights in many areas because the moon is providing the light.

As I’ve been walking, there have been a few times when I’ve turned around because I saw a shadow behind me. I realized as I walked that the moon was positioned in such a way that not only was I seeing the silhouette of myself in front of me on the ground, but I could also see it to the side of me. I thought at first that someone had come up behind me, which wouldn’t have been uncommon, as several people walk before daybreak in our community.

This morning, as I walked, again the shadows appeared. As I walked, I heard Father say, “That’s me there with you”. I smiled and said, “Thank you”. I don’t think there could be any more of a sign than that, the Lord showing Himself to us, walking right beside us. I have to admit, I felt a calm as I walked, just looking at the shadows. I felt His presence, His love, His strength in stride with me.

Friends, I guess it’s kind of been a recurring theme for me this week, talking about how God is with us through everything. This morning, I think He wanted to continue to emphasize the message, “I am with you always”. So, as you go about your day, look for Him, and know that you are not alone.

Have a great day, friends, and hey, get up a little earlier tomorrow and take a stroll in the moonlight. Start your day with a friendly shadow πŸ™‚ .

Matthew 28:18-20
And Jesus came and said to them, β€œAll authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
