Orderly

There is something to be said for having things neat and orderly in our lives. I guess the new year brings the opportunity to do things a little differently.

This morning, as I’m getting ready to head out for some errands, I took a moment to tidy up my desk. I put away things that have been just sitting around, brought some books up to date for the little golf group I help, and restocked some supplies I needed. Just doing those few little things has made me feel good. I made a commitment to myself to try to keep my office this way as I sat down to write this little blog.

Our lives tend to get crazy at times. The busyness of work, keeping our homes in order, kids’ activities, appointments, and the like fill our days, and sometimes nights. Before we know it, we’re exhausted and just trying to keep our heads above water, and feeling stressed.

Well, friends, let’s make a commitment to keep one space in our lives in order. Putting Father first, giving Him the first of our day and the last of our day, will keep us focused on what is most important. He will help us with the rest of the time. He will help us keep the rest of our lives in order.

So, start your day with Him, let the Lord set the tone for your day. Then thank Him before you end your day, for being there and guiding you. The added bonus is, of course, talking with Him throughout the day.

Take some time today, friends, tidy up one room in your home, put things back in order. And…spend time with Father each day and let Him guide you to keep the rest of your life in order πŸ™‚ .

Have a good day, everyone. Prayers for all who need support today. And continued prayers for the return of Emily Rea.

But all things should be done decently and in order.
