Watching

There have been times in this life when I’ve had people tell me they feel like Father is testing them. I’m not one to believe that He does that. I don’t see the Lord creating us, His children, to test us.

I do, however, believe that He watches how we handle situations. Because of our free will, we often put ourselves into challenging situations, do silly things, and/or treat people poorly. I think Father watches to see how we respond.

I’ve said before that I believe the Lord brings people into our lives for a reason, and He watches to see how we respond. Do we take the opportunity to show Christ through our actions? Are we welcoming, do we treat others as we want to be treated, or do we look past them?

How do we know, though, that those people who come into our lives are not satan in disguise? My husband and I were just having a conversation last night about this. The answer is we don’t know for sure. However, if we treat everyone as Jesus taught us, then even satan will see the love of Christ. That is the most powerful love there is, and we all know that satan could use some Jesus 🙂 .

I know I’m rambling more than usual today, I’m struggling to put my thoughts into this message. I guess the gist of what I’m trying to say is, we don’t know for sure why people are brought into our lives. We must trust that Father’s plan will reveal itself in His time. Until then, take the opportunity to share Jesus’ love through your actions. And…if satan has shown up disguised, well, like I said, he can use Jesus more than most!

Have a good day, friends. Continued prayers for the return of sweet Emily Rea.
